A Professional-Looking Photo
This photo will be used on any program or position application that you fill out. Korvia will also use this photo to market you to schools. As you will need another photo later for the visa process it is recommended to use a passport-sized format so that you can use one photo all uses!

Enroll in a 120-hour TEFL Course
As of 2017, all native English teachers now require teachers to be TEFL certified. Being certified will also make you able to teach in any type of school in the future in China & South Korea, whether it be in the public sector or private sector. It’s better to be over-qualified than under-qualified.

Self-Introduction Video
A Self-Introduction Video is a short video that a candidate creates to demonstrate their personality, skills, and/or teaching style.
Introduction Videos should be between 2-3 minutes and show off your personality as well as your philosophy on teaching.
Lesson Plan Demonstrative Video
A lesson plan demonstration video should primarily focus on how you can make your lesson plan come alive. You have to use the sample lesson plan you came up. The video should last 3-5 minutes. There are no strict rules yet so let your creativity fly.
- This video is not mandatory however please feel free to make one if you want to make your application very competitive and getting a job offer with a higher salary.
Obtain Letter of Recommendation
Applicants must obtain and have ready one or two letter of recommendation from professional or academic sources. Academic sources can include individuals such as past or current professors, guidance counselors, etc. LORs just need to be scanned and submitted.
- This recommendation letter is not mandatory however please feel free to submit one if you want to make your application very competitive and getting a job offer with a higher salary.
