EPIK Final Documents

EPIK Application Form (Printed)

Candidates must submit a completed online EPIK application form printed out (from the official EPIK application site), and signed with an ink pen on page 6, next to your typed name. The EPIK application form must also have the sample lesson plan and personal essay attached.

Two (2) Passport Sized Photos

Candidates must submit two passport-sized photos. One that is attached to their EPIK application as well as a 2nd photo for backup purposes. For more information about please visit the Passport Photo Guide.

Photocopy of Passport Info Page

Candidates applying to EPIK will need to submit a photocopy of your passport’s info page (top and bottom) that includes your photo and background information. The passport will also need to be valid for at least the amount of time you will be in Korea. For more information please visit the Passport Info Page Guide.

National Level Criminal Record Check (Apostilled)

An apostilled national-level criminal record check is required to apply to EPIK. It is recommended that after obtaining the CRC you photocopy it in case the Korean Consulate asks to see it when you apply for your visa. Background checks are valid for 6 months so please make to time your results carefully. For more information please visit the Criminal Record Check Guide.

Photocopy of BA Diploma (Apostilled)

An apostilled 3~4 year Bachelor’s Degree will be need to be submitted to EPIK with your final documents. For more information please check here.

Two (2) Sets of SEALED University Transcripts

Two sets of your official university transcripts (academic records) will be needed. The transcripts must include all the classes you took from the start of your university education until you graduated along with the grades received for each class. An overall GPA must be included in the report as well.

The University Transcript sets must be SEALED and opening them will invalidate them from being accepted by EPIK. We recommend that you order at least 4 sets so that you may open one set to check that the above-stated information is included. For more information please check here.

Original Two (2) Letters of Recommendation

EPIK requires two original ink-signed letters of recommendation from academic professors or previous employers regarding your work ethic and abilities. For more information, please visit the Letters of Recommendation Guide.

Photocopy of TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certificate

Applicants will need to submit a photocopy of their completed TEFL/TESOL/CELTA course certificate. Applicants should try to bring an original copy with them to Korea. Those who have a bachelor’s degree in Education will NOT need to submit a TEFL certificate.

**Proof of English-Medium Education Letters (South African/Quebec/Int'l School Only)

Those who are from SA or who received education in Quebec or Int’l Schools must submit proof of schooling letters to verify that the medium of education was English from grades 7-12. These can just be copies, unlike the recommendation letters.
