Wow! We had a great turnout at the Korvia Fall 2014 Hongdae Teachers Party! The event which took place on Sept. 27th was held at Mike’s Cabin in Hongdae. Korvia recruits and teachers got the chance to hang out with eachother, make new friends, and meet their recruiters, all in one of the hottest areas in Seoul!
Korvians got a nice welcoming message from Korvia’s EPIK coordinator Jina Rhee who encouraged them to both try their best and get involved in the community. Recruits then got to hear from invited speakers Jaceon Toomgam editor-in-chief for SeoulSync and Kyla Hoggard a current GEPIK teacher. Jaceon gave tips on how to assimilate into Korea and get involved in the community, while Kyla recited original poetry she had written. Afterwards, recruits got the chance to take part in the traditional Korvia Party Quiz where they were able to win free stuff.
