GEPIK Final Documents
Candidates must submit a fully competed GEPIK Application form, printed out, and signed with an ink pen. The GEPIK Application form must also have the Personal Essay attached.
Apostilled Photocopy of BA Diploma
An Apostilled photocopy of your 3-4 Bachelor’s Degree will be need to be submitted to GEPIK with your final documents. For more information please visit the University Diploma Guide.
Apostilled National Level Criminal Record Check
An apostilled national-level criminal record check is required to apply to GEPIK. It is recommended that after obtaining the CRC you photocopy it in case the Korean Consulate asks to see it when you apply for your visa. For more information please visit the Criminal Record Check Guide.
One (1) Set of SEALED University Transcripts
Two sets of your Official University Transcripts will be needed. The transcripts must include all the classes you took from the start of your university education until you graduated along with the grades received for each class. An overall GPA must be included in the report as well.The University Transcript sets must be SEALED and opening them will invalidate them from being accepted by GEPIK. We recommend that you order at least 4 sets so that you may open one set to check that the above stated information is included. For more information please visit the University Transcripts Guide.
GEPIK requires the original two signed letters of recommendation from academic professors or previous employers regarding your work ethic and abilities. For more information please visit the Letters of Recommendation Guide.
Photocopy of Passport Info Page
Those applying to GEPIK will need to submit a photocopy of your passport’s info page that includes your photo and background information. The passport will also need to be valid for at least the amount of time you will be in Korea. For more information please visit the Passport Info Page Guide.
Candidates will need to read over and sign an agreement that states that the teacher will pay a housing deposit of 900,000 KRW after receiving their first pay check. The housing deposit will be automatically deducted in 300,000 KRW increments over three months, or as one lump sum of 900,000 from your first paycheck. The deposit will be given back to the teacher after the completion of their contract if no damage was made to their accommodation.
Candidates will need to print and sign a confidentiality agreement stating that the teacher will not disclose confidential information about teachers or their school to the public.
Candidates must print and complete to the best of their knowledge a self-medical checkup that asks standard and general questions about their current health condition.
Candidates will need to submit 3 signed copies of their GEPIK contract if they are going to be on an E2 visa. If the candidate is going to be on an F4 visa, they will only need to submit 2 signed copies. The candidate must sign and date each page of the contract.
