GOE Application Documents
The following documents are required to submit an application to GOE to obtain an interview for a particular intake. Files must be completed digitally and sent via email to your Korvia recruiter.
Candidates must submit the fully competed Microsoft Word version of the GOE Application form to their recruiter. The GOE Application form must also have the Personal Essay attached.
Personal Essay
A Personal Essay that totals 500-800 words must also be submitted. The essay must address three topics: Why you wish to teach in Korea, your teaching philosophy, and how people should deal with encountering cultural differences. For more information please visit the Personal Essay Guide.
Candidates must submit the fully competed Microsoft Word version of the GOE Additional Information form to their recruiter.
Two (2) Letters of Recommendation (Scanned file)
GOE requires two letters of recommendation from academic professors or previous/current employers regarding your work ethic and abilities. Scans of both letters of recommendation will be needed to apply to GOE and the original copies will need to be sent in with your final documents after you pass your GOE interview. Passport Info Page (Scanned image file)
Korvia recommends that you obtain at least 6 photos as they are used quite frequently in Korea. Photos must be the official passport size of 25 x 35mm and must be in front of a completely white backdrop. Personal photos such as those from Facebook or other social media sites will not be accepted.For more information please visit the Passport Photo Guide.
Self-Introduction Video (YouTube / Vimeo link)
Applicants will need to create a Self-Introduction Video of themselves for Korvia to send to potential employers. Videos need to be 2-3 minutes and length and hosted on a video streaming service such as YouTube or Vimeo.

TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certificate OR Teaching Certificate (Scanned image file)
Those applying to GOE will need to have completed a TEFL/TESOL/ or CELTA certificate program with a minimum of 100 hours or hold a valid teaching certificate.
