The following information is official GOE salary information. Please use the following list to find your eligible salary level bracket.

Salary Level 3 (Entry) || 2.1M

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

Salary Level 2 (Basic) || 2.2M

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline + one of the following:

  • A valid teacher’s license
  • One (1) year TaLK program experience

  • 100-hour TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certification

Or one of the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Teaching, TESOL, Second Language Studies

Salary Level 2+ || 2.3M

Requirements

1 year of full-time teaching experience + one of the following (The GOE does not recognize overseas private school experience):

  • A valid teacher’s license

  • 100-hour TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education

Or one of the following:

  • A Level 2 teacher who has renewed with the same office of education in Gyeongnam
  • A Master’s degree in Education
  • A Master’s degree in any displine with a Bachelor’s degree in Education

Salary Level 1 || 2.5M

Requirements

2 years of full-time teaching experience + one of the following (The GOE does not recognize overseas private school experience):

  • A valid teacher’s license

  • A 100-hour TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certification

  • A Master’s degree in Education
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education

Or one of the following:

  • A Level 2+ teacher who has renewed with the same office of education in Gyeongnam

Salary Level 1+ || 2.7M

Requirements

  • A Level 1 teacher who has been employed at the same office of education in Gyeongnam for two (2) consecutive years
