We make it our business to provide the most appropriate appreciates the advice and work tirelessly to assist in your career progression. This service is completely free of charge to candidates. Unless otherwise stated, the positions and type of work that we are seeking on your behalf will be full-time, permanent posts, whereby the successful candidate will be contracted directly to the employing organization.

Your Privacy & Use of the Data Supplied by You

Korvia appreciates the need for a discrete service for our candidates on a professional level, as well as the importance of keeping the personal information of our candidates private. We will never use your information for any purpose other than in connection with the recruitment process or other named permissions you agree to give us.

What type of data do we collect?

The personal data that we collect from candidates is necessary to ensure the efficiency of the recruitment process. This data includes information such as your name, address, e-mail address, and career and education history, as well as your nationality and status to work in South Korea, which we are required to collect by law. Any other sensitive data is collected only so far as is necessary to ensure we meet legal requirements. By registering with us, you consent to us collecting and processing the data and, where necessary, disclosing this information to prospective employers in connection with the recruitment process. You accept and authorize Korvia to use the personal information collected from you to offer customized web features, an email newsletter, and, from time to time, unique placement offers by email. You authorize Korvia to contact the university(ies) you attended to establish proof of your academic history, and you authorize Korvia to inform your university of your current status with Korvia. Candidates can be assured that Korvia will not sell, trade or rent their personal information to third parties.

Your information of the application

Once you provide your information on the application to Korvia, it will be made available to our specialist recruitment teams. Unless you request otherwise at the point of registration, your CV and other relevant information supplied by you may be sent or presented to prospective employers who we deem would be of interest to you, and who we deem may be interested in your skills and experience.

Applications for specific vacancies

If you have applied for a specific vacancy (or vacancies) through Korvia, the information you provide will be used to determine your suitability for the position and, if applicable, your CV will be presented to the client company with whom the vacancy is based. We will also consider whether your skills would be suited to other opportunities on which we are working and, unless you request otherwise, your details may be presented to additional prospective employers whom we deem would be of interest to you, and who we deem may be interested in your skills and experience.

A level of support

While Korvia shall endeavor to provide a reasonable amount of support and assistance to you if you are employed as a result of Korvia’ placement and recruiting services, any Teaching Contract shall be solely between you and the Contracting organization. Korvia is not responsible or liable for breach of a Teaching Contract by either party nor for any situation, including school closure or bankruptcy of the Contracting organization that results in a Teaching Contract not being fulfilled. If you are terminated for any reason by a Contracting organization, it is not Korvia’ responsibility to rectify the situation or to find you alternative or interim employment.

Korvia does not guarantee placement nor is it obliged to continue service for renewing individuals. Placement is based on availability, qualifications, school preferences, and the performance history of an individual. If no position is able to be secured for an individual at the current time, Korvia will keep the applicant on file for possible future positions that may become available.

Korvia is not and shall not be responsible or liable for your transportation, accommodations or other services or products to be provided by the Contracting organization or any other third party in connection with the Activity and Korvia is not and shall not be liable for any other acts or omissions of such third parties.

Access to your details by parties outside South Korea

On occasion, your details may be presented to client companies outside of South Korea. This could happen, for example, if you apply for a vacancy where the employer is based outside Souht Korea. By registering and using our Site, you consent to this transfer.

Notification of changes

Acceptance

By accessing our site, you will be deemed to accept these Terms of Access to Korvia’s Website. These Terms of Access may be changed by us at any time. You will be deemed to accept the Terms (as amended) when you next use our Site following any amendment.

In completing our registration process, please ensure you provide current, complete and accurate information as prompted by our registration form. During the registration process, you will be required to choose a password and a username. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for any and all activities that occur under your account. Korvia makes every effort to ensure that the information contained on our Site is accurate and complete. However, as some of the information is supplied to us by third parties, we do not accept any liability arising from any inaccuracy or omission, nor any liability in respect of information supplied to us by you. You are responsible for ensuring that all the information that you supply to Korvia is true, accurate, up-to-date and not misleading or likely to mislead or deceive and that it is not discriminatory, obscene, offensive, defamatory or otherwise illegal, unlawful or in breach of any applicable legislation, regulations, guidelines or codes of practice or the copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights of any person in any person in any jurisdiction. You are also responsible for ensuring that all information, data, and files are free of viruses or other routines or engines that may damage or interfere with any system or data prior to being submitted to our Site. We reserve the right to remove any information supplied by you, or to terminate your registration and/or deny you access to our Site or any part of it at any time, without any explanation or notification.

Prohibited or Unlawful action

You may not use our Site in any manner that could be in any way damaging to our Site. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our Site, other person’s account, or to any information, computer systems or networks connected to our Site, whether through hacking, password mining or any other means.

You shall comply with all applicable laws of any jurisdiction in which you may travel, including drug laws while participating in the Activity. If your participation in the action is at any time deemed detrimental to the contracting organization, as determined in the sole discretion of Korvia or the contracting organization. You may be terminated by the contracting organization without Korvia incurring any liability. You may incur liability to Korvia under this Agreement if you engage in illegal acts abroad, break an employment Contract with a contracting organization or enter into a Teaching Contract in bad faith.

You fully and forever INDEMNIFY, RELEASE, WAIVE AND DISCHARGE, and COVENANT NOT TO SUE, Korvia, its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, sponsors, successors and assigns, from and for any and all demands, claims, actions, suits, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including, but not limited to, court costs and attorneys’ fees), from any cause whatsoever (including, but not limited to, travel delays, property damage and loss, bodily injuries, sickness, disease and death), whether directly or indirectly arising in connection with your participation in the Korvia recruiting and placement process and the Activity, whether or not foreseeable or contributed to by the negligent acts or omissions of Korvia or others.
